My Story

Hiya Everyone, my name is Keaton and I am the proud owner of Keatons K9 Walking. I thought I’d take some time to tell you a little bit about me and my story. I am 17 years old and I live in a town called Ilkeston. I have grown up with many mental health issues to the point I found it extremely challenging to leave the house. When I was 16 I was diagnosed with anxiety,autism and adhd this was hard for me to understand as I felt different and disconnected from my peers and the world. Then I discovered working with dogs and I’ve never looked back, I have grown up with dogs from Rottweilers,Westies,Jack Russell’s,Cockapoos and crossbreed dogs. In March 2023 I decided to volunteer at Castlefield Kennels in Derbyshire and it was the best experience and they helped me better understand myself and broadened my idea of working with dogs and the possibilities I had to choose from. I will be forever grateful of the experience they allowed me to have. I opened my dog walking business on the 6th January 2024 and since then my mental health has improved and I feel so much happier with my life. I have been blessed with so many wonderful dogs and I have met some absolutely amazing people that I can rely on to cheer me up and trust. The memories I have made will be cherished forever and I cannot wait for you all to see what I have lined up for the future of 2025!
